The McAdoo Fire Company's Annual Banquet will be held March 31st 2012 at Cappriotti's located in Banks Twp. Active members can sign up at the station any Life, Regular or social members that would like to attend the cost is $25.00. Contact Vinny Chitswara for more information. There is a sign up sheet at the station for any members wanting to purchase a McAdoo Fire Company jacket or Work shirts also winter beenies are available. See Robert Leshko for more information.

McAdoo fire dispatched to 300 Lofty Road Kline Twp for a trash fire. Engine
49-15 and B 49-47 responded found large piles of building construction
materials and tires on fire. Used 1 -1 3/4" line to extinguish. The fire is
being investigated by fire officials. 1-17-2012 at 19:18 McAdoo
Fire dispatched for wires down 46 Lofty Rd Kline Twp. B49-47 responded when
they arrived on scene they found a single car MVA with heavy damage to
electrical lines on the pole. Driver of the vehicle was no longer on scene.
PP&L contacted and on scene in 10 Min. Assisted by Kline PD. On scene for 20
Min. 1-15-2012 at 12:23 McAdoo Quint and Engine on stand by in station for possible response into Luzerne County for a WSF. Crews released after 45 minutes. 1-15-2012 at 08:27 hrs McAdoo Fire dispatched for a odor investigation at 110 S Kennedy Drive, McAdoo Borough. Quint 49-22 responded and when they got on scene homeowner said there was a odor of kerosene in the residence. Upon investigation there was nothing found. 1-14-2012 at 08:47 hrs
McAdoo fire dispatched to I-81 MM 138 for a MVA with rollover. B49-47 and
BLS 920 responded. When crews arrived they found a Mini van on its side in
the median. with 2 patients out of the vehicle. The driver and passenger
were transported to HGH with minor injuries. PSP also assisted. 1-12-2012 at 17:04 hrs McAdoo fire dispatched for smoke in a structure at 613 S Hancock Street, McAdoo Borough. Quint 49-22 arrived on scene found smoke condition in the residence upon investigation found to be a pot on the stove. Home was ventilated with PPV fan. Engine 49-15 responded at stood by at the hydrant. On scene for 40 minutes, McAdoo PD also assisted. 1-09-2012 at 12:35 hrs McAdoo Quint 49-22 responded to 641 S Hancock Street, McAdoo Borough for a chimney fire. When units arrived they found heavy black smoke pouring from the chimney. McAdoo crews entered the structure with full gear and SCBA. Crews turned off power to the unit. After the unit was shut down smoke continued to billow from the chimney. A dry chemical extinguisher was dumped into the chimney to extinguish the fire. A Gas meter was used to check for CO in the residence and there was a reading of 88 PPM. Crews ventilated the structure by opening windows and doors. On scene for 1 hour.
